What makes your program different from other childhood music programs, such as Kindermusik?
Though all educators are trained, loving and experienced , our approach and backgrounds differ. All of our teachers have music and also early childhood education backgrounds, which help us with our mission of providing an early, joyful, and appropriate music experience for your child. We are committed to a holistic and integrated approach to music education. We recognize that play is an integral part of the learning experience as well as a mode of self-expression. We value and nurture the parent’s role as primary educator of their child. We always invite you to try a free class and meet our teachers before you register. In fact, we prefer it! The difference will be seen in our classroom.
Will my young child really get something out of this program?
Absolutely! In fact, you both will. We understand how young children learn and all activities in all classes are age appropriate and holistic (teaching the whole child). Our focus is to build a solid musical foundation. We help children develop rhythmic and tonal competency and also vocal and instrument exploration. We also incorporate physical development, cognitive abilities and build self-esteem. Creativity and curiosity are part of your child’s weekly experience in Kidsmusicart. Remember, we have four levels: infants through young child where they begin instruction on pre-keyboard, string and wind instruments while learning musical notation. We then provide opportunities for piano, flute, recorder and voice lessons. Our Encore program is an instrumental/choral ensemble providing performance opportunities. Our "GLEE" Show choir is conducted during the summer in a two week camp format.
Why choose Kidsmusicart? There are so many programs out there…
Kidsmusicart is one of the few programs where the total development of the child is addressed and the parents are partners in the activities. The curriculum fosters cognitive, emotional, physical, musical, social and language development. We like to say we teach the whole child. We meet each child where they are in their development. Kidsmusicart fosters a life long connection to music. Kidsmusicart is a program that offers many years of age appropriate curriculum so that you and your child can complete this journey through music together. We know of no other program that combines all these benefits.
