The group setting of this class develops instrumental ensemble play and joyful participation in group interactive dance and games. Music of many cultures and great composers complete this comprehensive music class.

This fun packed week will culminate in a field trip on Saturday to the Baltimore Museum of Art to see the work of the artists we studied all week.

Theater games, developing stage presence, pantomime, and singing for an audience will be part of this fun camp. Is based on Kidsmusicart philosophy and created with our Kidsmusicart graduates in mind as well as other young musicians. This vocal ensemble will feature singing yet use instruments and movement to enhance the musical interpretation of traditional choral pieces and pop tunes.
Encore is taught by Mrs. Beth Hallworth who is an experienced music educator/vocalist at the Crofton studio. Mrs. Hallworth is best known as the music director of our popular Summer GLEE camp. Each weekly class will include vocal warm ups, rounds, parts singing, Orff and movement ensembles. Good musicianship will be encouraged and developed through sight singing and additional music theory. Offered to Young Musician graduates as well as other young musicians Grade 1 and up.Auditions will be held at the first class for vocal placement only. Performance dates and venues will be announced in class.

This class is the perfect fit for the beginner recorder student and our Young Child graduates who want more instruction on a wind instrument. This is a fun group class with the extra motivation of earning karate belts as you advance through each level. This recorder pedagogy was written by Barb Philipak and allows for the student to work at their own pace. Your child will be excited about recorder. Recorder is an invaluable instrument for improving all aspects of musicality and is an excellent pre-band instrument.
The first class of each 10 week session is a free class. There will be a recital at the end of each semester.
